A Royal Marriage

This English publication follows the exhibition catalogue A Royal Marriage published for the eponymous exhibition held in Prague for the 700th marriage anniversary of Elisabeth Premyslid and John of Luxembourg (1310). The book introduces readers to the beginning of the 14th century, when the House of Luxembourg replaced the ruling Premyslid dynasty. It focuses primarily on the last Premyslids and John of Luxembourg, the new successor to the throne. Further articles are dedicated to the architecture of the Stone Bell House in the Old Town of Prague as well as the medieval appearance of Prague. The guide also describes some exhibition artefacts, both in words and pictures.
