The Earliest Photographs of Prague 1850–1870

The authors of the book systematically covered the widest possible spectrum of Prague photographs from the earliest period including numerous interesting photographs that have not yet been published in any popularisation selections. The expert publication with more than 700 pictures of Prague taken during the first twenty years of photography is the outcome of several years of efforts. The texts introduce the reader to the beginnings of photography, describing the pioneering efforts of the first photographers as well as their subject – Prague. The photography section includes a catalogue of photographs. The book has an ambition to become a vital guide for every fan of the history of photography.
