The book was published for the exhibition Jan Rothmayer: Photographs. It seeks to map the photographic heritage of the Rothmayer family, especially photographs taken by Jan Rothmayer between 1956 and 1960. The selected photographs show the personality of an occasional photographer who, under the influence of Josef Sudek, discovered the beauty of nature and mundane things. The book expands upon the exhibition and includes further unpublished photographs of Jan Rothmayer.
