Price: 100 Kč
The publication pursues the history and present of professional craftsmen’s associations. The reader not only learns about history but also, and primarily, receives an insight to the operation of historical guilds and present associations. It features the exhibits from the City of Prague Museum’s collection of guild objects, one of the world’s largest. It includes guild chests, banners, ferrules, guild signs, and richly decorated masterpieces made by guild masters. The Czech title is derived from the historic name of guilds (‘order’ in Czech), highlighting that order, rules, honour, credit and honesty had been connected with crafts from time immemorial.
