Die Umgebung des Hauses Müller

The book summarises the research project Research and Presentation of 19th and 20th Century Architecture. It is dedicated to the interwar period buildings in Střešovice and also to modern villas built in Ořechovka. The introduction presents the Ořechovka project as a garden city with its own facilities, designed to deal with the demographic growth of the metropolis during the 1920s. Ořechovka’s citizen facilities such as the cinema and Sokol gym as well as religious buildings (St Norbert Church) are depicted. The second part describes the more or less famous houses near Villa Müller, such as Traub, Hübschmann, and Špála villas. The book concludes with small structures in Střešovice and Ořechovka and includes a map with all of the buildings.
