A Guide to Prague Archaeology
The book presents, for the first time ever, comprehensive results of archaeological research of Prague, especially its historic core. Focusing mainly on the medieval history of Prague, it also touches prehistory and the most recent period, showing multiple examples. It elucidates the history and presence of archaeological research in Prague. In addition to the description of more than seventy archaeological findings represented in numerous pictures, it publishes the latest information about the transformation of the particular parts of Prague throughout history. Short portraits present current knowledge about general topics – selected pictures of medieval architecture, funerals, crafts, and everyday life of inhabitants.
